Deep red with earthy hues.

Nose

Intense leafy, minty aromas of capsicum and cassis berry, with juicy mulberry and blackcurrant. Subtle toasty vanillin notes add a second dimension to the wine, giving elegance and depth.  

Palate

It is a brilliant blend of the high-end Cabernet Sauvignon from the world renowned Coonawarra Region and the top Shiraz from our old vine vineyard at Barossa. The wine hits the mouth with rich, ripe plums, blackcurrant, minty leaf and chocolate complimented by a luscious texture and exceptional length of palate. The vanillin character on the finish that is provided by 28 months aging in American oak to create a smooth lingering mouthfeel. 

 

Cellaring Potential

This wine is drinking very well on release but will steadily develop over the next decade and beyond.

Grilled red meat, barbequed ribs or robust pasta dishes.
